On February 26th, Deputy Minister of Health Mr. Do Xuan Tuyen signed Decision No. 648/QD-BYT announcing the end of COVID-19 epidemic in Khanh Hoa province.

Pursuant to the Law on Prevention and Control of Infectious Diseases, the Prime Minister's Decision stipulating conditions for announcing the epidemic, declaring the end of infectious epidemics, Pursuant to the Prime Minister's Decision amending and supplementing a number of Articles of the Decision on conditions for announcing epidemics, declaring the end of infectious diseases, the Government's Decree prescribes the functions, tasks, powers and organizational structure of the Ministry of Health and requests consideration to announcing the end of the epidemic of the Chairman of Khanh Hoa provincial People's Committee, the Ministry of Health decided to announce the end of the COVID-19 epidemic (formerly known as the new acute respiratory infection caused by Corona virus) appeared in Khanh Hoa province.
The Ministry of Health requests the Khanh Hoa provincial People's Committee to direct relevant units to continue implementing measures to monitor and prevent epidemics in accordance with Law on Prevention and Control of Infectious Diseases 2007.
This Decision takes effect from the date of signing. Decision No. 240/QD-BYT dated January 31st 2020 of the Ministry of Health announcing the outbreak of acute respiratory infections caused by new strains of Corona virus (nCoV) caused in Khanh Hoa province ceases to be effective from February 26th 2020 - the date of signing this Decision takes effect.
