The plan has set specific targets for each period, in which: By 2030, seafood export turnover will reach 700 - 725 million USD, growing on average 5 - 6%/year; the proportion of fishery accounts for about 61% - 62% of the total structure of the agricultural sector; total aquatic production reached 150 - 155 thousand tons, of which, fishing production accounted for 60%, aquaculture accounted for 40%; the total value of aquatic production reached 11,500 billion VND (the price compared with the year 2010), of which, fishing accounted for 60%, aquaculture accounted for 35% and hatchery production accounted for 5%; aquaculture area reaches 3,000 hectares, of which brackish water farming area reaches 2,400 hectares, fresh water reaches 650 hectares and over 80% of fishery workers are trained. Vision to 2045, development of Khanh Hoa fisheries is a modern, sustainable economic sector with advanced management, science and technology; holds an important position in the structure of agricultural and marine economic sectors, contributing to ensuring food and nutrition security, ensuring social security; contribute to ensuring national defense and security, maintaining the country's independence and sovereignty over sea and islands.
The Provincial People's Committee assigned the Department of Agriculture and Rural Development to assume the prime responsibility for, and coordinate with relevant departments and branches, the People's Committees of districts, towns and cities in implementing the plan; annually summarize and evaluate the implementation and results, advise the Provincial People's Committee to report to the Ministry of Agriculture and Rural Development (the Directorate of Fisheries) to summarize and report to the Prime Minister. During the implementation, if there are difficulties, problems, heads of agencies and units, chairmen of People's Committees of districts, towns and cities report to the Provincial People's Committee (through the Department of Agriculture and Rural Development for timely review, direct and guide.
