On the evening of January 29th, Khanh Hoa Provincial Journalists’ Association in collaboration with the Department of Culture and Sports held the opening ceremony of Tet Newspaper Festival in the Year of the Pig 2019 at Khanh Hoa provincial cultural Center. Attending the ceremony were Mr. Nguyen Tan Tuan - Standing Deputy Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee, Chairman of the Provincial People's Council; Mr. Nguyen Dac Tai - Member of the Provincial Standing Committee, Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee; Mr. Tran Ngoc Thanh - Member of the Provincial Standing Committee, Chairman of the Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee of Khanh Hoa province; Mr. Ho Van Mung - Member of the Provincial Standing Committee, Head of the Provincial propaganda and training commission.

This year's Tet newspaper Festival exhibits about 400 newspapers and magazines with nearly 4,000 publications. According to the Organizing Committee, publications in this year have rich and lively contents in many fields of politics, economy, culture and society; propaganda documents of the Party's resolutions, policies and laws of the State; propaganda of the campaign to study and follow the ideology, morality and style of President Ho Chi Minh ... Especially, Tet newspaper Festival 2019 also displays and introduces spring paintings and calligraphy and bonsai.
Speaking at the opening ceremony, Mr. Nguyen Tan Tuan hoped that in the coming time, a team of reporters and journalists would continue to reflect in a timely and extensive manner the political, economic, cultural and social activities of the province to contributing to promoting and introducing the image of Khanh Hoa to domestic and foreign friends. In particular, focusing on news and propaganda of events, major programs will be held in 2019 such as: National Tourism Year, Sea Festival Nha Trang - Khanh Hoa, Vesak festival...

Tet newspaper Festival in the Year of Pig 2019 will last until February 13rd. After the closing ceremony, the Organizing Committee will select a number of press publications to give to the soldiers and people of Truong Sa island district; libraries and cultural centers in the province.
