On January 4th, the Vietnam-Russia Friendship Association of Khanh Hoa province holds a meeting to celebrate the New Year 2026. Attending the event were Mr. Sadykov Timur Sirozhevich - Consul General of the Russian Federation in Ho Chi Minh City; leaders from several departments and agencies; and representatives of Russian citizens working and living in the province.

At the meeting, delegates reviewed the tradition of friendship between Vietnam and the Russian Federation in general, and between the people of Khanh Hoa province and Russian friends in particular. Accordingly, in 2025, the Vietnam-Russia Friendship Association of Khanh Hoa province organized many activities to commemorate the 80th anniversary of the victory over Fascism in the Great Patriotic War of the Soviet people (May 9, 1945 - May 9, 2025); participated in activities commemorating the 75th anniversary of the founding of the Vietnam-Russia Friendship Association in Hanoi. Organizing gatherings and exchanges to celebrate the New Year 2025 with Russian businesses and Russian citizens living and working in the province; meeting and congratulating Russian female citizens on International Women's Day, March 8th… Notably, during the floods at the end of November 2025, many Russian citizens actively participated in rescuing people from the flooded areas, notably Mr. Andrey Smirnov - Director of Catamaran Vietnam Sailing Company.

With achievements in 2025, the Vietnam-Russia Friendship Association of Khanh Hoa province was awarded 3 certificates of merit and 10 commemorative medals by the Central Vietnam-Russia Friendship Association for collectives and individuals, including 3 Russian individuals who made many positive contributions to strengthening the friendship and cooperation between the people of the two countries. In addition, the Union of Friendship Organizations of Khanh Hoa province also awarded a certificate of merit to the Association and to Mr. Andrey Smirnov for his outstanding achievements in recent rescue work.
