On the morning of September 22th, Mr. Le Huyen - Vice Chairman of Khanh Hoa Provincial People's Committee had a meeting and worked with the delegation of the France - Vietnam Friendship Parliamentarians’ Group at the Senate of the French Republic led by Mr. Alain Cadec - Senator of Côtes d'Armor province, Chairman of the France - Vietnam Friendship Parliamentarians’ Group at the Senate of the French Republic. Also joining the delegation was Mr. Étienne Ranaivoson - Consul General of France in Ho Chi Minh City.

Mr. Le Huyen - Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee discussed some contents to promote cooperation between Khanh Hoa and French localities and partners.
At the meeting, Mr. Le Huyen introduced to the delegation the potentials and advantages of Khanh Hoa province, especially the potential for developing industry, energy, tourism, services, and marine economy. Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee Le Huyen said that in June 2025, the Khanh Hoa Provincial People's Committee signed Understanding Memorandum on cooperation for the period 2025 - 2028 with the Lorient Urban Community and Lorient City, France. After signing, the Provincial People's Committee issued an implementation plan, assigning specific tasks to agencies and units in the province to implement the Understanding Memorandum. It emphasized the tasks of cooperation in developing the marine economy, especially fisheries and seaports; connecting businesses, cooperation in health, tourism, science and technology, higher education, etc. In addition, in recent times, Khanh Hoa province has also focused on implementing ODA projects and trade cooperation with France.

Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee Le Huyen emphasized that Khanh Hoa province always appreciates and wishes to promote cooperation with localities and French partners in areas where both sides have great potential and strengths such as: Marine economy, investment, trade, tourism, science, technology, innovation, digital transformation, energy, health and education... Mr. Le Huyen also expressed his hope that the France - Vietnam Friendship Parliamentarians’ Group at the French Senate, the Embassy, the Consulate General, and the French Development Agency (AFD) in Vietnam will continue to pay attention, support and act as a bridge to help promote cooperative relations between Khanh Hoa province and France, contributing to fostering the friendship and comprehensive strategic partnership between Vietnam and France.

On behalf of the delegation members, Senator Alain Cadec thanked the provincial People's Committee leaders for their warm welcome and informed them about the delegation's working program in Khanh Hoa. The delegation's visit in Khanh Hoa this time has contributed to affirming the good cooperative and friendly relationship between the two countries. Senator Alain Cadec expressed his joy at the establishment of cooperative and twinning relations between Khanh Hoa province and the Lorient Urban Community and Lorient City and hoped that the three parties would effectively and successfully implement the cooperation contents signed in the memorandum of understanding. Senator Alain Cadec also highly agreed with the fields that Khanh Hoa province's leaders proposed to promote cooperation with French localities and partners in the coming time. Besides the promotion of cooperation in potential and strong fields, Senator Alain Cadec also hoped that both sides would pay attention to and promote cooperation in the fields of culture, delegation exchanges, people-to-people exchanges, etc.
