The visit and work of the Khanh Hoa delegation with the Vaud State government is not only a normal diplomatic activity, but also has a profound historical significance when connecting the two lands through the legacy of Dr. Alexandre Yersin - the great scientist born in Vaud State and devoted most of his life to Nha Trang - Khanh Hoa. At the working session, the Khanh Hoa delegation showed a clip introducing the attractiveness of Khanh Hoa tourism, the potentials and strengths of the province and a clip introducing Dr. Yersin to Khanh Hoa. Speaking at the meeting, Ms. Christelle Luisier Brodard expressed her joy and honor to welcome the delegation from Khanh Hoa province. She emphasized that the legacy of Dr. Alexandre Yersin is a special cultural and scientific bridge between Vaud state and Khanh Hoa, creating a solid foundation for long-term cooperation between the two localities.

At the meeting, Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee Nguyen Khac Toan expressed his pleasure at visiting and working with the Vaud State government - the hometown of Dr. Yersin. Comrade Nguyen Khac Toan introduced the potential and outstanding strengths of Khanh Hoa with the longest coastline in Vietnam, owns Nha Trang Bay - one of the most beautiful bays in the world, and Nui Chua National Park, which has just been recognized by UNESCO as a world biosphere reserve. Besides its natural beauty, Khanh Hoa also has a modern infrastructure system with a deep-water port, an international airport, a highway system and regional railway. In addition, the great potential and advantages of coastal urban areas, eco-resort tourism; green agriculture; with major projects on nuclear power, pumped storage hydropower, LNG power complexes, prioritizing the development of high-tech industries, semiconductor industry, artificial intelligence, ocean technology, associated with the construction of a national data center, have opened up opportunities and created conditions for Khanh Hoa to become a logistics center, a transit point for goods and strategic energy of the country and the region. Khanh Hoa is aiming to become a centrally-governed city by 2030, with a smart, sustainable and internationally connected urban model. In particular, with the advantage of Cam Ranh International Airport - one of the four busiest and most modern international airports in Vietnam, Khanh Hoa is expanding its international flight network, creating favorable conditions for tourism and international cooperation.

At the meeting, the leaders of Khanh Hoa province proposed to cooperate with Vaud state in the fields of: Economy - trade - investment, tourism - culture, education - science - technology, health... Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee Nguyen Khac Toan hopes that the Vaud state government will connect to attract Swiss businesses to invest in tourism - high-end services, processing industry, high technology and renewable energy in Khanh Hoa; exchange of experiences in sustainable tourism development, heritage conservation, image promotion and expansion of tours connecting the two localities; cooperation between schools, institutes, training centers, exchange of experts, lecturers, students, research and technology transfer; training and exchange of medical human resources, epidemiological research, tropical medicine, marine medicine, organization of international scientific conferences named Yersin.

At the meeting, Ms. Christelle Luisier Brodard said that Vaud State has the second highest economic growth rate among the 26 states of Switzerland. With strengths in education, scientific research, medical technology and tourism, Vaud State and Khanh Hoa can cooperate in many fields.
