On the morning of July 17th, Mr. Tran Hoa Nam, Member of the Standing Committee of the Provincial Party Committee and Vice Chairman of the People's Committee of Khanh Hoa Province welcomed Ms. Raissa Marteaux, Consul General of the Netherlands in Ho Chi Minh City. Also attending the meeting were representatives from several provincial departments and agencies.

During the meeting, Ms. Raissa Marteaux thanked the leaders of Khanh Hoa Province for their warm welcome. Consul General Raissa Marteaux stated that the Netherlands is currently the largest European investor and trading partner in Vietnam and expressed her desire to understand Khanh Hoa Province's development priorities in order to contribute expertise and experience and promote cooperation, especially in the province's efforts to become a centrally-governed city by 2030.

Ms. Raissa Marteaux also shared the experience and strengths of the Netherlands in the fields of logistics, infrastructure connectivity, and port development. In particular, in the aviation sector, the Netherlands has experienced companies in airport planning consultancy and strengths in modern lighting solutions to support the province's infrastructure development projects. Furthermore, Ms. Raissa Marteaux expressed her desire for both sides to exchange and promote cooperation in aquaculture; disaster risk management, flood control, water resource management… These are all areas where the Netherlands has extensive experience cooperating with Vietnam.

Speaking at the reception, Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee Tran Hoa Nam expressed his pleasure in welcoming the Consul General of the Netherlands in Ho Chi Minh City, Ms Raissa Marteaux to the Khanh Hoa Sea Festival 2026. The Vice Chairman also introduced the potential, advantages, and development orientation of the province after the merger. In particular, the province has identified priority areas for investment attraction including: tourism, logistics, marine economy, renewable energy industry, and high-tech agriculture. Regarding agriculture, the province focuses on developing goat, cattle, and sheep farming, as well as aquaculture - a sector with significant export potential. Mr. Tran Hoa Nam hoped that the Consulate General of the Netherlands in Ho Chi Minh City would connect and organize thematic working sessions to introduce Khanh Hoa province's investment projects to the Dutch business community.
