On the afternoon of July 17, Mr. Tran Hoa Nam - Member of the Provincial Party Standing Committee and Vice Chairman of the Khanh Hoa Provincial People's Committee with leaders of various provincial departments and agencies had a meeting with Mr. Shovgi Mehdizada, Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the Republic of Azerbaijan to Vietnam.

During the meeting, Ambassador Shovgi Mehdizada emphasized that the visit aims to strengthen cooperative relations between Vietnam and Azerbaijan and foster connections between Azerbaijani localities and Khanh Hoa Province. The Ambassador expressed his desire that Khanh Hoa Province establishes a cooperative relationship with Qabala Province - a region renowned for its mountainous landscapes and traditional Azerbaijani music festivals thereby opening up opportunities for collaboration in tourism, culture, and trade, and contributing to the economic development of both localities.
Ambassador Shovgi Mehdizada announced that the fourth "Vietnam Days" event would soon take place in Azerbaijan and expressed his hope that the leaders of Khanh Hoa Province would arrange to attend. Additionally, the Ambassador expressed a desire for the future establishment of more direct flights between Azerbaijan and Vietnam, thereby facilitating travel for Azerbaijani tourists visiting Khanh Hoa for sightseeing and leisure.

During the meeting, Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee Tran Hoa Nam expressed his agreement with the proposals made by Ambassador Shovgi Mehdizada. He also expressed his hope that the Embassy of Azerbaijan in Vietnam would continue to strengthen connections, enabling the business communities of both sides to meet and exchange information, thereby identifying investment cooperation opportunities in sectors such as agriculture, food processing, tourism, and other high-potential areas.
Regarding tourism cooperation, Vice Chairman Tran Hoa Nam noted that the number of Azerbaijani tourists visiting Khanh Hoa remains modest and does not yet reflect the full cooperation potential between the two sides. Addressing the Ambassador's proposal to launch new air routes, Mr. Tran Hoa Nam suggested that the two sides should collaborate on studying the launch of charter flights connecting Azerbaijani localities with Khanh Hoa, with the ultimate goal of establishing commercial flight routes. This would serve as an important foundation for attracting tourists from Azerbaijan and the surrounding region to Khanh Hoa.
