On the afternoon of July 16th, Mr. Nguyen Thanh Ha, Vice Chairman of the People's Committee of Khanh Hoa province with leaders of various departments and agencies welcomed Ms. Wiraka Moodhitaporn, Consul General of Thailand in Ho Chi Minh City, and her delegation visiting, working, and attending the Khanh Hoa Sea Festival 2026.

During the meeting, Ms. Wiraka Moodhitaporn stated that 2026 marks the 50th anniversary of the establishment of diplomatic relations between Vietnam and Thailand, providing an opportunity for the two countries to further strengthen their "Comprehensive Strategic Partnership." Consul General Wiraka Moodhitaporn congratulated Khanh Hoa province on its potential for development after the merger, especially in the fields of marine economy, tourism, and energy. The Consul General also mentioned that many Thai businesses are currently interested in exploring investment opportunities in Khanh Hoa province, particularly in the renewable energy sector. Therefore, Ms. Wiraka Moodhitaporn hopes that Khanh Hoa province will continue to support the connection, act as a focal point for receiving information, and coordinate in resolving difficulties and obstacles faced by Thai businesses. She also suggested that in the future, the two sides will strengthen cooperation in tourism promotion and business networking; promote cultural and educational exchanges, especially in human resource training and the development of Thai language interpreters. Ms. Wiraka Moodhitaporn affirmed that she will continue to act as a bridge, supporting Thai businesses in exploring and promoting investment in Khanh Hoa province.

On behalf of Khanh Hoa province, speaking at the reception, Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee Nguyen Thanh Ha informed about the socio-economic development results of the province after the merger; introduced the potential, advantages and development orientation of Khanh Hoa in the new period. Vice Chairman Nguyen Thanh Ha said that the cooperative relationship between Khanh Hoa and Thailand has continued to develop positively in the fields of investment, trade and tourism; currently, many Thai businesses are investing and operating effectively in the province.

Mr. Nguyen Thanh Ha expressed his hope that the Consulate General of Thailand in Ho Chi Minh City would continue to support the connection and attraction of more Thai tourists and businesses to Khanh Hoa, leveraging the advantages of air routes and visa exemption policies. Regarding the proposals of the delegation, Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee Nguyen Thanh Ha assigned the Provincial People's Committee Office to coordinate with relevant departments and agencies to receive and process them. He also affirmed that the province would create favorable conditions and provide maximum support for Thai businesses to explore and promote investment in Khanh Hoa.
