On the morning of August 3rd, Mr. Nguyen Long Bien - Member of the Provincial Party Standing Committee and Permanent Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee hosted a courtesy meeting with Mr. Rajpal Singh, Singapore's Ambassador to Vietnam. Accompanying the delegation were Colonel Low Teck Loong, Singapore's Defense Attaché to Vietnam; Colonel Siswi Herlini, Commander of the Singapore Maritime Training and Doctrine Command; Lieutenant Colonel Daniel Hu, Commanding Officer of the Persistence ship; and other officers and sailors from the Singapore Navy.

At the meeting, Mr. Nguyen Long Bien, Permanent Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee expressed his pleasure in welcoming Ambassador Rajpal Singh and his delegation to Khanh Hoa Province. He provided an overview of the province's socio-economic development and highlighted its key advantages in the marine economy, tourism, logistics, seaport infrastructure, and energy sectors. Khanh Hoa is currently focusing on mobilizing maximum resources and effectively leveraging specific mechanisms and policies to achieve double-digit growth and transform the province into a centrally-run city.
According to the Permanent Vice Chairman, Khanh Hoa prioritizes partnerships with strong, capable entities, including investors from Singapore. The province seeks to attract investment in key sectors such as finance, trade, renewable energy, food and seafood processing, supporting industries, high-tech, information and telecommunications technology, modern urban development, logistics centers, and seaport infrastructure. Additionally, the province pay attention into high-quality human resource training to foster sustainable growth and enhance its competitiveness in this new phase of development.
Permanent Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee Nguyen Long Bien expressed his hope that Ambassador Rajpal Singh and the Embassy of Singapore in Vietnam would continue to support the broad promotion of Khanh Hoa’s image, potential, and investment environment to the Singaporean business community; facilitate connections for famtrip delegations and Singaporean travel agencies to conduct market surveys; and coordinate the organization of tourism and trade promotion activities.

Highly appreciated for the sharings of provincial leader, Ambassador Rajpal Singh thanked Khanh Hoa Province for its warm and respectful welcome. Following his fact-finding visits and on-site surveys, the Ambassador expressed deep admiration for the locality's potential and opportunities for breakthrough development. Mr. Rajpal Singh highlighted the significant and prestigious investment projects that Singaporean enterprises have undertaken in Vietnam. Specifically regarding Khanh Hoa, the project currently being studied and implemented by the Vietnam-Singapore Industrial Park (VSIP) Joint Venture Company promises to serve as a key driver of local economic growth in the near future.
Ambassador Rajpal Singh affirmed his readiness to support Khanh Hoa Province in fostering connections and cooperation regarding the development of airport and seaport infrastructure, as well as human resource training. He proposed that the province explore ways to tap into and connect with international tourist source from the European market via Singapore, thereby leveraging the advantages of direct flight routes between Singapore and Khanh Hoa.
