On the morning of March 25, 2026, Mr. Nguyen
Thanh Ha, Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee welcomes Mr.
Étienne Ranaivoson, Consul General of France in Ho Chi Minh City to Khanh Hoa
province.

At the meeting, Vice Chairman of the
Provincial People's Committee Nguyen Thanh Ha expressed his pleasure in
welcoming Mr. Étienne Ranaivoson to visit and work in Khanh Hoa. The Vice
Chairman also noted that the cooperative relationship between Khanh Hoa
province and French localities and partners has developed well in many fields.
Notably, Khanh Hoa province has established a cooperative relationship with the
Lorient Metropolitan Community. The two sides signed a Memorandum of
Cooperation in June 2025 and are currently actively implementing the
cooperation contents according to the Khanh Hoa - Lorient Memorandum of
Cooperation for the period 2025-2028, prioritizing areas with potential,
strengths, and suitability to the development needs of both sides…
According to the plan, Khanh Hoa province will
organize a delegation to attend the Interceltique de Lorient Festival in early
August 2026. Therefore, Khanh Hoa province would greatly appreciate the support
of the Consul General during his visit and working trip here.
The Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's
Committee also expressed his hope that, in the future, the Consul General would
continue to pay attention and act as a bridge to introduce and connect French
businesses and investors to cooperate and invest in the province, especially in
the following sectors: energy industry, renewable energy, high-tech industry,
logistics, seaports, tourism, healthcare, education; support and encourage
French airlines and travel agencies to cooperate in opening direct flights from
French localities to Cam Ranh International Airport.
Speaking at the meeting, Mr. Étienne
Ranaivoson expressed his gratitude for the province's timely attention and
support to the people affected by the floods in November 2025, including some
French citizens. The Consul General also stated that he would facilitate the
visit of the Khanh Hoa provincial delegation to France. He also suggested
additional areas for investment cooperation between the two sides, such as
fisheries development, traceability, and curbing illegal fishing. The Consul
General also noted that two ODA-funded projects from the French Development
Agency (AFD) are currently being implemented very well in Khanh Hoa province…

In 2025, Khanh Hoa
province's import and export turnover with France is expected to reach nearly
US$11.5 million (of which exports to France exceed US$10.4 million). The
number of tourists from France to Khanh Hoa is on a strong upward trend, from
13,677 visitors in 2024 to 17,786 in 2025 (a 30% increase compared to the
same period), and reaching 6,415 visitors in the first two months of 2026
alone. Currently, there are 5 investment projects by French businesses in the
province, with a total registered investment capital of US$14.81 million.
