On the evening of
February 6th, the Provincial Party Committee, the Provincial People's Council,
the Provincial People's Committee, and the Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee
of Khanh Hoa province held a meeting with international guests and overseas
Vietnamese to celebrate the Lunar New Year 2026 (Year of the Horse). Attending
the meeting were Mr. Tran Phong - Member of the Central Committee of the
Communist Party of Vietnam, Deputy Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee,
and Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee; Mr. Nguyen Long Bien -
Member of the Standing Committee of the Provincial Party Committee and
Permanent Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee; leaders of
various departments and agencies; and a large number of overseas Vietnamese and
international guests.

Speaking at the meeting, Chairman of the
Provincial People's Committee Tran Phong informed international guests and
overseas Vietnamese about the outstanding socio-economic achievements of Khanh
Hoa province in 2025. Specifically, the province has completed and exceeded
socio-economic targets; social security is ensured; the material, cultural, and
spiritual lives of the people have improved; national defense and security, and
social order and safety have been maintained; and the restructuring and
streamlining of the political system and the organization of the two-tiered
local government model have been implemented synchronously, promptly, and
effectively. In
achieving these overall accomplishments, Khanh Hoa province always cherishes
and highly appreciates the valuable companionship and support of international
friends, partners, and overseas Vietnamese. In particular, over the past year,
the province has received 11 project and non-project aid grants totaling nearly
1 million USD; the province currently has nearly 18,900 businesses operating in
various sectors, including many FDI enterprises owned by foreigners and
overseas Vietnamese, creating jobs for tens of thousands of local workers.
In the field of foreign
affairs, the province has implemented many practical and effective activities
such as: signing 3 new cooperation agreements with partners in Russia, France
and South Korea; continuing to implement 6 agreements already signed with
localities in Laos, South Korea, Australia, Russia and Japan; strengthening
connections and exchanges with localities in strategic partner countries,
comprehensive partners and traditional friends of Vietnam, in line with the
province's development orientation...
According to Mr. Tran
Phong, entering the year 2026, Khanh Hoa province has identified it as a year
of acceleration and breakthrough, creating a solid foundation for achieving
double-digit growth and realizing the aspiration to become a centrally-governed
city before 2030. Therefore, the province hopes to continue receiving the
attention, support, and increasingly close and effective cooperation from
international partners and the Vietnamese community abroad

On this occasion, 9
collectives and 4 individuals, foreign nationals and overseas Vietnamese, who
have made outstanding contributions to the socio-economic development of Khanh
Hoa province in 2025 received certificates of commendation from the Chairman of
the Provincial People's Committee.
