On the evening of September 5, the grand finale of the 73rd Miss World pageant took place at 2/4 Square (Nha Trang Ward, Khanh Hoa Province), featuring representatives from 111 countries and territories. Attendees included Mr. Lam Dong, Deputy Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee and Chairman of the Provincial People's Council; Mr. Nguyen Long Bien, Member of the Provincial Party Standing Committee and Permanent Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee; members of the Provincial Party Standing Committee; leaders of the Provincial People's Council, People's Committee, and the Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee; heads of provincial departments and agencies; as well as a large number of local residents and tourists.

Representing the Miss World Organization were Ms. Julia Morley, Chairperson and CEO of the Miss World Organization; reigning Miss World Opal Suchata Chuangsri; with various former Miss World titleholders and members of the Miss World 2026 organizing committee. The grand finale was also attended by leaders from several provinces and cities, including Hai Phong, Lam Dong, and Da Nang.

This marks the first time the Miss World pageant has been held in Vietnam and serves as part of the series of events celebrating 75-year of foundation and development. The grand finale took place at an outdoor venue on the Nha Trang coast, featuring a massive stage and a program that combined artistic performances, fashion shows, and the promotion of Vietnamese culture.

Speaking at the event, Mr. Nguyen Long Bien, Permanent Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee considered that the Miss World pageant has long contributed to promoting positive values regarding women's beauty, talent, confidence, and social responsibility particularly the "Beauty with a lofty purpose" message. These values align with the development goals of both Vietnam and Khanh Hoa Province, which prioritize people-centric growth and uphold the spirit of compassion, community responsibility, and sustainable development.
Khanh Hoa Province is honored to be selected as the venue for the finale of Miss World 2026, where the prestigious crown of the 73rd Miss World pageant will be awarded. Khanh Hoa is not only an attractive tourist destination but also a region that embodies the values of Vietnam’s seas, islands, culture, cuisine, history, and people. The province is steadily affirming its position as a key hub for tourism, services, and the marine economy in Vietnam, while striving to become an international destination that is civilized, modern, green, friendly, and rich in cultural identity.
Images of Vietnam and Khanh Hoa province in particular along with its people, were showcased to an international audience through a series of activities held across various Vietnamese provinces and cities. The grand finale was not merely the moment the winner of the 73rd Miss World crown was determined; it was also a celebration of culture, art, and the spirit of connection among nations and peoples.

Leading up to the finale, the 111 contestants participated in a wide range of competition activities in Khanh Hoa, including sports, presentations, fashion shows, talent showcases, and community outreach programs. The contestants also took part in the "Hello Vietnam - Hello World" program, modeling traditional costumes from their respective countries and territories, thereby highlighting global cultural diversity in Nha Trang. At the same time, they had the opportunity to experience and promote the local area's scenic landscapes, historical sites, and unique cultural characteristics.

Vietnam's representative, Le Nguyen Bao Ngoc made a strong impression by winning the Top Model competition for the Asia-Oceania region thereby securing a spot in the final Top 40 and placing in the Top 24 for "Beauty With a Purpose" and the Top 20 for the "Head-to-Head Challenge."

In the final results, the Miss World 2026 title went to the representative from the Dominican Republic. The titles of first and second runner-up went to the contestants from Spain and Malaysia, Vietnam's representative, Le Nguyen Bao Ngoc finished in the Top 6.
