On the morning of July 18th, at April 2nd Square (Nha Trang Ward), the Khanh Hoa Provincial Women's Union organized the "Colors of the Sea" Ao Dai Festival in response to the Khanh Hoa Sea Festival 2026.

Attending the festival were Ms. Chamaléa Thị Thủy - Member of the Provincial Party Standing Committee, Director of the Department of Ethnic Minorities and Religion; Ms. Dang Thi My Huong - Deputy Head of the Provincial National Assembly Delegation; Ms. Nguyen Quynh Nga - Vice President of the Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee of the province, President of the Provincial Women's Union, along with leaders of departments, agencies, and organizations, representatives of 10 international delegations, and more than 2,000 officials and women's union members in the province.

Speaking at the opening ceremony, the Chairwoman of the Provincial Women's Union, Nguyen Quynh Nga, said that 2026 marks the 5th year the Provincial Women's Union has organized the Ao Dai Festival. Each year, the program has seen innovations in format, from walking parades and setting Vietnamese records to parades with cyclos. This year, the Ao Dai is combined with bicycles – a familiar and environmentally friendly mode of transportation to convey the message of honoring traditional cultural values, spreading a green lifestyle, and promoting the image of Khanh Hoa as a dynamic, civilized, and friendly province. The Chairwoman of the Provincial Women's Union expressed her hope that after the festival, the image of the Ao Dai and the use of bicycles in daily life will continue to be widely promoted, contributing to building a green, civilized, and sustainable urban environment.

Immediately after the opening ceremony, delegates and the public enjoyed a spectacular art program featuring two collections of ao dai (traditional Vietnamese dresses) titled "Waves" and "Vietnam in Brocade," performed by artists and actors from the Provincial Traditional Arts Theater and female members of the association, combined with musical and dance performances praising the homeland, the sea and islands, and the beauty of Vietnamese women.

The highlight of the program was the bicycle parade in Ao Dai dresses, with the participation of over 2,000 female members, female officials, civil servants, teachers, armed forces personnel, and international delegations. The parade started from April 2nd Square, traveled along Tran Phu Street to the Nguyen Chanh intersection, and then returned to the starting point.

The image of thousands of vibrant Ao Dai dresses blending with the Nha Trang coastal road created a unique cultural space, spreading the message: "Building a green lifestyle - Joining hands to protect the environment - For a civilized, friendly, and sustainably developed Khanh Hoa."
