The Chairman of the Korea Tourism Association expressed his hope that the delegation's visit would provide practical insights into tourism in Jeju - a region rich in natural resources and experienced in developing marine tourism products. He noted that the exchange activities, site visits, and discussions in Jeju would help expand connections, enhance mutual understanding, and create further opportunities for tourism development cooperation between localities and businesses on both sides.
Speaking with leaders of the Korea Tourism Association, Mr. Nguyen Long Bien stated that South Korea is currently one of the most important international markets for Khanh Hoa’s tourism sector. In 2025, the province welcomed over 2.36 million South Korean visitors, and in the first eight months of 2026 welcomed more than 1.5 million. Direct flights connecting Incheon, Busan, Cheongju, and Daegu to Cam Ranh are creating a favorable foundation for maintaining and expanding the South Korean visitor market.

According to Mr. Nguyen Long Bien, there is significant potential for further cooperation between Khanh Hoa and South Korea. The province’s strategy focuses not merely on increasing visitor numbers but on enhancing market quality, diversifying products, extending lengths of stay, and establishing a stable two-way flow of tourists.
Khanh Hoa has requested that the Korea Tourism Association act as a bridge connecting the Khanh Hoa Tourism Association with South Korean travel agencies, airlines, and hospitality and service providers. This collaboration aims to develop practical cooperation programs and tourism products ready for implementation. The province also seeks to boost promotion efforts through familiarization trips (famtrips), press trips, digital media channels, and the association's network of member businesses.
Regarding aviation, Khanh Hoa has asked the Korea Tourism Association to facilitate connections with airlines, travel agencies, and relevant partners to explore the feasibility of launching a direct flight route between Cam Ranh and Jeju. Establishing this route would enhance connectivity between the two destinations, expand the visitor base, and foster the development of two-way tourism.
In addition, Mr. Nguyen Long Bien requested that the Korea Tourism Association facilitate connections with specialized associations, experts, and enterprises experienced in the investment, management, and operation of kitesurfing, sailing, and marine recreational sports. These are sectors the province is exploring for new product development, including plans to establish a kitesurfing center in the My Hoa area of Vinh Hai Commune.

Provincial leaders extended a cordial invitation to Chairman Lee Kyung-soo and the Korea Tourism Association to visit and work in Khanh Hoa at a mutually convenient time.
The meeting in Seoul establishes a new connection between Khanh Hoa and South Korea’s tourism sector, aligning with the province's efforts to intensify market promotion, expand air connectivity, and develop new products to attract high-quality international tourists.
