On the morning of January 8th, Mr. Nguyen Thanh Ha, Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee had a meeting with the representative office of the Japan External Trade Organization (JETRO) in Ho Chi Minh City to learn about the investment environment of Khanh Hoa province after the merger. Leaders from several provincial departments and agencies also attended the meeting.

At the meeting, Mr. Okabe Mitsutoshi, Chief Representative of the JETRO Office in Ho Chi Minh City expressed his deepest condolences to the people of Khanh Hoa province for the damage caused by the recent floods in November. He also expressed his interest in the investment environment, administrative procedures, industrial land reserve and support mechanisms for Japanese businesses in Khanh Hoa, especially in context of the province's recent administrative reorganization. Mr. Okabe Mitsutoshi emphasized that, based on the information exchanged, JETRO will act as a bridge to introduce Japanese businesses to explore and invest in Khanh Hoa. Therefore, Mr. Okabe Mitsutoshi hopes that Khanh Hoa province will continue to support Japanese businesses operating in the province, especially in the fields of transportation infrastructure, logistics, and human resource training, in order to strengthen the reputation and attractiveness of the investment environment; and enhance cultural exchange activities so that Japanese businesses have the opportunity to participate, promote connections, and expand cooperation between the two sides in the future.
Speaking at the meeting, Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee Nguyen Thanh Ha expressed his sincere gratitude for the JETRO delegation's sharing and regards for Khanh Hoa province in general and the people affected by the floods in particular. Vice Chairman Nguyen Thanh Ha stated that, with its many potentials and advantages in geographical location, seaport system, tourism, services, and transportation infrastructure, along with supportive mechanisms and policies for businesses, Khanh Hoa province always welcomes and facilitates Japanese investors to research and implement projects in the locality. To realize its double-digit economic growth target for the period 2025-2030, Khanh Hoa province has identified four pillars of development, including the industrial sector. In addition, Khanh Hoa province is currently attracting investment in clean energy, construction, tourism,... Recently, Khanh Hoa province also awarded investment certificates for large-scale industrial parks to three leading Vietnamese enterprises. Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee Nguyen Thanh Ha hopes that, after infrastructure completion, these industrial parks will attract investment from Japanese businesses.
Khanh Hoa province always pay interested in and continuously improve its investment environment and support businesses throughout the operations. This year, the province will organize an investment promotion conference in Hiroshima in accordance with the cooperation agreement between the two sides. Therefore, Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee Nguyen Thanh Ha hopes that JETRO will serve as a bridge to provide the province with opportunities to meet and work with Japanese investors.
