On the morning of August 19, the University of Economics Ho Chi Minh City (UEH) collaborated with the Khanh Hoa provincial People's Committee to hold the groundbreaking ceremony for the UEH Nexus Campus Nha Trang - a new training and research institute positioned as "A place for scholars and global knowledge to converge." This project is part of 250 key national projects that are simultaneously being launched and inaugurated to commemorate the 80th anniversary of the National Day of the Socialist Republic of Vietnam (September 2, 1945 - September 2, 2025). Attendees included Mr. Nguyen Long Bien - Member of the Standing Committee of the Provincial Party Committee, Vice Chairman of Khanh Hoa provincial People's Committee; former leaders of the provincial People's Committee; and leaders of various departments and sectors.

The UEH Nexus Campus Nha Trang project is being built on a 2.1-hectare campus located in the North Hon Ong Vocational Training School, Nam Nha Trang Ward, with a total investment of 294 billion VND. The project is designed with optimal, modern, dynamic, green, and sustainable architecture, with a training capacity of 2,000 students; 90 workspaces for staff and lecturers; various areas for research, creativity, and community connection; and a dormitory that accommodates 376 boarding students. This facility is expected to be completed by the end of 2026.

Once operational, the UEH Nexus Campus Nha Trang will focus on three main tasks: training high-quality human resources to meet the socio-economic development needs of the region; researching and transferring practical solutions; and connecting a network of scholars, students, and businesses both domestically and internationally. In addition to its strong fields (economics, law, logistics, tourism, urban planning...), the UEH Nexus Campus Nha Trang will emphasize training, research, and international connections linked to the advantages of Khanh Hoa and the potential of the region includes: sustainable marine economy, marine spatial planning, ocean technology, microelectronics, healthcare, and community development. Training programs and research projects are being collaborated on by UEH with top universities and reputable professional associations from Australia, the United States, the United Kingdom, Europe, South Korea. In particular, the branch will implement an educational cooperation program based on the Cooperative Education ASEAN model, providing students with opportunities to study and gain experience at leading companies in the Asia region, enhancing their ability to integrate into the international working environment...

Speaking at the ceremony, Mr. Nguyen Long Bien said that that in recent times, Khanh Hoa provincial People's Committee and UEH have implemented many practical cooperation programs aimed at improving the quality of the province's workforce, such as: postgraduate training; training and capacity building; scientific research; organizing international conferences; and implementing scientific and technological projects. He also emphasized that the groundbreaking of the UEH Nexus Campus Nha Trang marks a new milestone in the cooperation between the Khanh Hoa provincial People's Committee and UEH in the upcoming period, especially in training high-quality human resources in fields such as: marine economy, ocean technology, smart cities, logistics, tourism, and public health care. The Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee committed to accompany UEH throughout the project implementation process, from supporting procedures, connecting businesses, building a research environment, to expanding international cooperation...

On this occasion, the Khanh Hoa provincial People's Committee and UEH signed a cooperation agreement on consulting and policy critique; training, fostering, and developing human resources; scientific - technology research, innovation, digital transformation; smart urban development, and international cooperation for common development. UEH donated 200 million VND to the "For the Poor" Fund of Khanh Hoa Province.
