According to the report of Vietnam Seaports Association, in 2017, the volume of exported/imported goods through Vietnamese seaports reached about 271 million tons, up 12% compared with 2016. Of which, container goods reached about 12.5 million TEUs (increase about 9%). However, in the first 6 months of 2018, the volume of containerized cargo through seaports decreased by 10% over the same period of 2017 but high growth in export value (telephone, computer and components). Particularly in Khanh Hoa, in 2017, about 700 shipments to Cam Ranh and Nha Trang port with the quantity of goods more than 2.1 million tons. Of which, Cam Ranh port accounts for more than 1.6 million tons
