On November 1st 2017, Mr. Le Duc Vinh - Deputy Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee, Chairman of Khanh Hoa Provincial People's Committee chaired the meeting with the Department of Planning and Investment and related departments, branches and localities to hear the report on the appraisal of investment applications for solar power projects.

At the meeting, Mr. Le Duc Vinh agreed to invest in five projects: Cam Lam Viet Nam Solar Power Plant, Floating Solar Power Plant on Suoi Dau Lake, Floating Solar Power Plant on Cam Ranh Lake, An Viet Solar Power Plant, Long Son Solar Power Plant. At the same time, Mr. Le Duc Vinh requested investors to complete the dossier and submit it to the Ministry of Industry and Trade for consideration and permission to add these projects to the National Electricity Development Plan for the period 2011-2020, considering to the year 2030; Note the commitment to ensure the progress of the projects in accordance with the regulations.
According to the report by the Department of Planning and Investment, the project of Cam Lam Viet Nam Solar Power Plant is proposed by the investor on an area of about 75 hectares in Cam An Bac commune, Cam Lam district with a total installed capacity of 50MWp; Total investment of the project is over 1,103 billion Dong. The project of Solar Power Plant on Suoi Dau Lake is invested by the Suoi Dau Floating KN Co., Ltd with total designed capacity of 49,995 MWp, built on an area of 74.23 ha at Suoi Dau Irrigation Lake and other areas adjacent to the reservoir area of Suoi Tan and Suoi Cat communes, Cam Lam district; total project investment is over 1,204 billion Dong. For Floating Solar Power Plant project on Cam Ranh Reservoir is invested by Cam Thuong KN Floating Co., Ltd with total installed capacity of 49,995 MWp on the area of 79.36 ha of Cam Ranh Irrigation Lake in Cam Tan commune, Cam Lam district; total investment of the project is over 1,356 billion Dong. An Viet - Nha Trang Green Energy Development Co., Ltd is the investor of An Viet Solar Power Plant project proposed to build the project in Hoa Son hamlet, Cam Thinh Dong commune, Cam Ranh city with an area of about 60 hectares, total designed capacity of 40MWp, total investment of 1,198 billion Dong. Long Son Solar Power Plant of Long Son Co., Ltd has installed capacity of 200MW in Ninh Son commune, Ninh Hoa town with total investment capital of 4,900 billion Dong.
