On April 6th (i.e. 2nd of lunar March), at Nha Trang city, more than 120 delegates in and outside the province attended the first ancestor’s anniversary of Vietnam’s aloe wood industry organized by the aloe wood Association of Khanh Hoa province.

At the ceremony, delegates reviewed the history of Vietnam’s aloe wood industry. According to legend, the Lady goddess Thien Y A Na sank a fleet of invaders right in front of the Cai River, bringing peace to all people. Her soul incarnated into the gourd tree for a valuable aloe wood. Those who went to search for aloe wood in the past all had to worship Lady Goddess Thien A Y Na. Since then, Vietnamese people believe that Lady Goddess Thien Y A Na is the ancestor of aloe wood and chosen the 2nd of lunar March every year as the death anniversary of the ancestor.
Also at the ceremony, representatives of Vietnam’s aloe wood industry introduced the test cooperation program to create clean aloe wood for Khanh Hoa, period 2019-2021 and aloe wood industry workshop held in August 2019. In addition, the delegates also discussed the orientation in production and business, building a brand of aloe wood in Khanh Hoa province.
