On the afternoon of November 22nd, a delegation of the Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism led by Mr. Doan Van Viet - Deputy Minister of Culture, Sports and Tourism came to work with Khanh Hoa province on Pilot program to welcome international tourists with “vaccine passports”. Attending also were Mr. Nguyen Trung Khanh - General Director of Vietnam National Administration of Tourism. Welcoming and working with the delegation were Mr. Le Huu Hoang - Member of Standing Committee of Provincial Party Committee, Standing Vice Chairman of Provincial People's Committee.

At the meeting, Mr. Le Huu Hoang proposed to the Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism on the following issues: Advise and submit to the Prime Minister the visa exemption to support tourism stimulus. Agree with the Ministry of Transport to restore regular international flights. Pay attention and support the province to organize communication, promotion and advertising activities during the pilot phase to welcome international tourists. Work with and agree with the Ministry of Health on specific guidance on professional measures for surveillance, testing, isolation and treatment when there is a positive case with Covid-19 of international tourists; issue a certificate to the visitor after completing the 7-day tour program for the guest to present to the destination locality (in case of going to other localities to visit relatives)…

Speaking at the meeting, Mr. Doan Van Viet praised Khanh Hoa province for being very proactive in preparing to welcome international tourists with "vaccine passports" ensuring integration activities of central and suitable to the actual situation of the locality; at the same time, the province is ready to welcome international visitors with "vaccination passports". The Deputy Minister of Culture, Sports and Tourism asked the People's Committee of Khanh Hoa province to direct relevant agencies and units to pay attention to guide tourism businesses to handle cases of tourists positive with Covid-19, ensuring to create favorable conditions for tourists to participate in some "closed" activities (for the case of asymptomatic or mild symptoms). Tourism units and businesses need to link and coordinate closely with each other to increase sustainability and stability in the process of exploiting the international tourist market. The National Administration of Tourism is interested in supporting, coordinate with the province in promotion, image promotion, tourism stimulus programs of Khanh Hoa in particular and other localities in general...
Also in the afternoon of the same day, the delegation of the Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism went to survey the implementation of plans to welcome international tourists with "vaccine passports" to ensure safety against Covid-19 epidemic at accommodation establishments including: Riviera Cam Ranh Resort; Alma Resort; Fusion Resort; Radisson Blu Cam Ranh Resort.

At the survey destinations, the delegation highly appreciated the preparations to welcome international tourists with "vaccine passports" to ensure the safety of Covid-19 epidemic prevention and control of the aforementioned resorts. At the same time, it is proposed that the provincial Department of Tourism continue to organize training for accommodation and travel businesses on the welcome process of the Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism.
