On the morning of August 19th, Khanh Hoa Provincial People's Committee coordinated with the Consulate General of India in Ho Chi Minh City held a conference to promote Indian tourism in the South Central provinces. At the conference, nearly 250 delegates from agencies, units, businesses of India and departments, branches and enterprises of Binh Dinh, Phu Yen, Khanh Hoa, Ninh Thuan, Binh Thuan provinces to be introduced to the image and tourism potential of the localities; at the same time, discuss and exchange contents to strengthen cooperation in tourism such as: Expanding more direct flights from India to Khanh Hoa; cooperate in organizing and connecting cultural, religious and spiritual tours, nature tourism, health tourism...; safety procedures to prevent and control the Covid-19 epidemic but still ensure the quality of tours...
Speaking at the conference, Mr. Dinh Van Thieu said that the promotion conference on Indian tourism to the South Central provinces is one of a series of events within the framework of the Namaste Vietnam Festival 2022 to be held in Khanh Hoa to celebrate the 50th anniversary of the establishment of diplomatic relations between Vietnam and India. This event will contribute to further connecting the cooperation relationship between India and the South Central provinces; At the same time, it is an opportunity for the South Central provinces to connect with each other, creating diverse tourism products to attract tourists in general and Indian tourists in particular. He also gave an overview of the recovery orientation of Khanh Hoa's tourism industry after the impact of the Covid-19 pandemic; strategy to stimulate tourism demand in international tourist markets, including India.

Therefore, in order to enhance connectivity and effective tourism cooperation, the Ambassador hoped that the provincial authorities would be interested in cooperation and create favorable conditions for Indian units and businesses to exchange, learn about local destinations, tours… Mr. Pranay Verma also wants people of the South Central provinces to prioritize choosing Indian destinations when visiting and traveling.
