Khanh Hoa provincial People's Committee has just agreed in writing with the proposal of provincial Department of Culture and Sports not to organize the incense offering ceremony to commemorate Hung Kings in 2020 at the provincial scale.

In addition, the provincial People's Committee assigned the provincial Department of Culture and sports to chair, coordinate with relevant agencies, units and localities to support Hung King Temple Management Board to offer incense to commemorate the Hung Kings on the anniversary of Hung Kings' death (10th day of the third lunar month) according to traditional ritual ensure to be solemn, safe, economy.
Reportedly, on the 10th of the third lunar month every year, Khanh Hoa organizes an offering incenses ceremony to commemorate Hung Kings to honor the national cultural identity, educate patriotic traditions, and strengthen the great unity bloc of the entire people; demonstrate an advanced Vietnamese culture, imbued with national identity, toward its roots. However, due to the effects of the Covid-19 epidemic, the provincial Department of Culture and Sports proposed not to organize the incense offering ceremony to commemorate Hung Kings in 2020 at the provincial scale. Instead, incense offering will be performed by Hung Vuong Temple Management Board according to traditional rituals based on the current actual situation.
