In the morning of April 5th 2019 (1st of lunar March), at Am Chua relic site (Dai An mountain, Dien Dien commune, Dien Khanh district), the Am Chua Festival officially opens with the participation of departments, branches’ leaders and more than 100 groups of pilgrims in and out of the province.
Delegates give incenses at the Festival.
The festival takes place from the 1st to the 3rd of lunar March with many traditional rituals such as beating drums to open the festival; the delegations offer incenses, traditional offering ceremonies, noon worship... Immediately after the opening ceremony, the groups of pilgrims perform many of traditional Vietnamese songs and ball dancing praising the merit of the Mother Thien YA Na, praying for our country and people to be peaceful, good climates.
This is a big traditional festival in the locality that takes place every year to commemorate the thanks of Goddess Thien Y A Na who teaches people to cultivate, weave cloths ... to bring a peaceful and sufficient life to the people. It is known that the Am Chua Relic site is associated with the legend where the Mother Thien Y A Na descended on the earth and was recognized by the Ministry of Culture and Information as a national-level historical-cultural relic in 1999.
