The Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee of Khanh Hoa province has just sent a document to religious organizations in the province on coordinating to participate in preventing and fighting Covid-19 epidemic.

Accordingly, the Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee of the province requested religious organizations to participate in the prevention and control of Covid-19 epidemic with activities such as: Proactively coordinating with the authorities, Fatherland Front committees at all levels, mass organizations to give information and propagate to dignitaries, believers, Buddhists and all people on the harmful, measures to prevent and fight against epidemics; quickly inform suspected cases of Covid-19 infection for isolation, monitoring and treatment. Take measures to criticize believers, Buddhists spreading inaccurate information about the disease. Temporarily suspending or restricting the participation in pilgrimages and exchanges with religious organizations outside the province and abroad; restricting the organization of activities and mass gatherings to contribute to control disease. Promptly notify local authorities when individuals or delegations from outside the province exchange and visit religious establishments or families of believers or Buddhists. Mobilizing dignitaries, parishioners, believers, Buddhists to support medical equipment and supplies to prevent and fight epidemics...
Reportedly, right after receiving the documents of the Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee of the province, the Executive Committee of the Vietnam Buddhist Sangha of the province informed the messengers to Buddhist organizations in province not to organize dharmic assemblies at worship facilities to limit the concentration of people causing the risk of spreading Covid-19.
