Khanh Hoa provincial People's Committee has just issued a plan to organize the My Hoa - Khanh Hoa International kitesurfing Competition 2026, scheduled to take place from January 15th to 17th 2026 at the My Hoa Beach kitesurfing area, Vinh Hai commune.

This is an international-scale sports and tourism activity aimed at promoting the potential of coastal tourism, building new tourism products, and creating a highlight to stimulate tourism in the southern Khanh Hoa region. The competition is organized on an international mass sports scale, expected to attract about 200 athletes from both domestic and international locations. The theme of the event carries a strong message promoting the image of Khanh Hoa beach with the name "My Hoa Kites - Soaring Across the Blue Ocean" reflecting the spirit of integration, dynamism, and sustainable development of the My Hoa destination.
Not only being an sporting event, the tournament will feature a variety of activities, contributing to extended stays and enhanced experiences for visitors. Highlights include: Free "Kitesurfing with Experts" experience at kitesurfing schools in the My Hoa Beach Kitesurfing Area; a Cultural, Culinary, and OCOP product area with stalls selling seafood, local specialties, cooking and tourism product introductions; a vibrant "Sea Energy" music night connecting athletes, tourists, and locals; activities "Volunteer Saturday - Cleaning My Hoa Beach" took place at 6:30 AM on January 17, 2026 contributing to spreading the message of protecting the marine environment....
Together with activities in My Hoa, the Provincial Center for Investment, Trade and Tourism Promotion will organize discounted tours, introducing a series of typical destinations in the southern Khanh Hoa region such as Vinh Hy Bay, Hang Rai Cave, Bau Truc Pottery Village, Ninh Chu Beach, Dam Nai - Mui Dinh wind farm, giving athletes and tourists more opportunities to explore the unique culture and nature of the locality.
To ensure the tournament proceeds as planned, the Provincial People's Committee has assigned the Department of Culture, Sports and Tourism as the permanent agency responsible for advising on the establishment of the Organizing Committee, issuing the tournament regulations, presiding over the opening and closing ceremonies, and soliciting sponsorships. The Provincial Police Department is responsible for ensuring security, traffic safety, and managing foreign athletes. The Provincial Military Command is responsible for developing a plan to ensure safety in the sea area, conduct search and rescue operations, and provide guidance on the use of unmanned aerial vehicles (UAVs) for communication purposes. The People's Committee of Vinh Hai commune is responsible for leveling the ground, ensuring parking areas, and maintaining environmental hygiene in the My Hoa coastal area. The Department of Finance will appraise and advise on the allocation of funds for implementation according to the Plan.
