Khanh Hoa Provincial People's Council has just issued Resolution No.01/2021/NQ-HDND on the collection, payment, management and use of fees to visit the historical cultural relic of Ponagar Tower and Hon Chong tourist attraction (Nha Trang city).

Accordingly, in order to stimulate tourism demand, socio-economic development after the Covid-19 epidemic, the Provincial People's Council has decided to adjust the fee for visiting the Ponagar historical and cultural relic area and Hon Chong tourist attraction is 10,000 VND/person/time (reduce 50% compared to the previous fee). In addition, the Provincial People's Council also stipulates the subjects that are free of charge when visiting at the two places mentioned above, including: international delegations, the Government, ministries, central branches and provinces and cities directly under the Central Government when visiting and working in Khanh Hoa; cadres, soldiers and people who are working and living in Truong Sa island district; delegations of pupils and students in the province to be visited by schools; people often come to offer incenses according to beliefs; People with disabilities, the elderly, people infected with Agent Orange, children, citizens permanently residing in the province; subjects are entitled to preferential policies for cultural enjoyment under the Prime Minister's Decision No. 170/2003/QD-TTg of August 14, 2003.
The resolution also stipulates the management and use of the fee to visit the historic - cultural site of Thap Ba Ponagar and Hon Chong with 100% of the fee collected to be spent on the operation of the management unit (Provincial Monuments Conservation Center), in which this unit must use at least 30% of the income to serve the investment, property purchase, preservation, repair, and restore monuments, landscapes. Other contents related to the declaration, collection, payment, management, use and publicity of the fee collection comply with Decree No. 120/2016/ND-CP dated August 23rd 2016 of the Government and a number of other related laws and decrees.
