Khanh Hoa provincial People's Committee has just issued the meeting conclusion about coordination in handling the procedures for receiving and isolating Vietnamese citizens returning at Cam Ranh International Airport and measures to cope with Covid-19 epidemic.

Accordingly, Khanh Hoa Provincial People's Committee has assigned the Director of Cam Ranh International Airport to preside over and coordinate all relevant forces and units to immediately grasp information about the flight that will land at Cam Ranh International airport and promptly provide to sectors of health, military and customs to coordinate in performing the welcoming, screening and bringing Vietnamese citizens from abroad back to the army's concentrated isolation places, ensure safety, quickly and limit congestion.
Facing to complicated situation of Covid-19 epidemic, many unexpected problems, in order to be more proactive in prevention and fighting disease, the Provincial People's Committee requested the Department of Health to lead and coordinate with other relevant departments, branches and units shall implement a number of measures: Spraying disinfectants and fully preparing human resources and medical supplies for the concentrated isolation areas in order to receive citizens from abroad; reviewing all medical supplies and equipment to plan for timely supplementary purchasing; Priority is to provide medical masks, protective gear and body temperature gauges for the forces directly working at the airport border gates (medical staff, customs officers, military soldiers, officers of Cam Ranh international airport…); arranging human resources at domestic airports to check body temperature, deploy medical declarations for passengers before boarding and after landing... The provincial Military Command should thoroughly grasp the officers and soldiers participating in the task at the concentrated isolation facility with a positive spirit and service attitude, leaving good impressions on the isolated person; have plans to prepare more concentrated isolation facilities of the army, report to the Provincial People's Committee before March 28th 2020. Absolutely do not accept necessities of families sent to their relatives in isolated areas; at the same time guide the families of the isolated people to donate and support the isolation work through the Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee of Khanh Hoa province (if possible).
For departments, agencies, unions, localities, units should urgently and seriously implement a number of tasks such as: Determining more tourist accommodation establishments committed to voluntarily using for concentrated medical isolation facilities to provide to the Department of Health, reporting the results to the People's Committee before March 28th 2020. Review and proactively suspend service facilities, gatherings crowded (dance halls, bars, karaoke, massage, video games, art performances, physical training and sports...) from 00:00 on March 26th 2020 until a new direction is given. Monitoring and managing the journeys of Vietnamese citizens and foreigners to serve the prevention and control of Covid-19 epidemic; fully identify cases of entry people from abroad, people with close contacts to actively deploy isolation measures and monitor appropriate health...
It is known that previous time (on March 23rd), Khanh Hoa provincial People's Committee had a meeting with the concerned departments, agencies and units to listen to the report of the situation of Covid-19 disease and the difficulties and obstacles in the process of receiving and taking Vietnamese citizens from Cam Ranh airport to isolated isolation areas as well as monitoring and testing suspected cases at health facilities.

According to the report of the Department of Health, up to March 25th, Khanh Hoa province is monitoring and isolating 749 suspected cases or related to Covid-19 epidemic. In which, more than 95% of the cases who are isolated, followed are international students and workers returning from abroad. Currently 749 cases have been monitored and isolated at the following locations: Khanh Hoa Hospital for Tropical Diseases; Khanh Hoa General Hospital; concentrated isolation zones at the Center for Training and Fostering of National Defense-Security Knowledge (Nha Trang City), Center for Training of Border Guards, Infantry Regiment 803 (Ninh Hoa Town), Infantry Regiment 201, Training Center under Nha Trang City Military Command, Battalion 87 - Regiment 274- Air Defense Division 377 and an accommodation facility in Cam Lam district. In addition, Khanh Hoa province has 167 cases that have close contact with other suspected cases are monitoring health at home, in the residence under the supervision of health workers.
