This is one of the objectives set out in the tourism development plan of Khanh Hoa province under Resolution No. 09-NQ/TW of the Politburo; Resolution No. 42/NQ-CP dated March 21st 2022 of the Government; Resolution No. 55/2022/QH15 dated June 16th 2022 of the National Assembly.

According to the plan, striving to 2025, Khanh Hoa will welcome 7 million tourists, including 3.7 million international visitors and 3.3 million domestic tourists. By 2030, Khanh Hoa will welcome 13.8 million visitors, including 7 million international visitors and 6.8 million domestic visitors.
To achieve the above goals, Khanh Hoa will implement the following tasks and solutions: Focus on developing sea and island tourism, eco-tourism, community tourism, and health care resort tourism and cultural heritage tourism associated with environmental protection, preservation and promotion of cultural identity; develop supplementary industries and professions and link inter-regional tourist routes. To organize the preservation and promotion of typical traditional festivals in the locality; exploit, build products for tourism development (restore the New Rice Festival and the T'rin wedding ceremony); building typical tourist destinations in ethnic minority and mountainous areas. Promote the application of information technology in tourism activities; building a digital tourist map of Khanh Hoa; invest in a smart tourism Kiosk system and digitize the destination. Urging and supporting investors to implement tourism projects which are approved investment policies and investment registration certificates in the area of Van Phong Economic Zone.
