On the afternoon of October 5th, the provincial Department of Tourism held an online conference to announce the project on "Building and promoting the image of Nha Trang - Khanh Hoa tourism in association with promotion activities, attracting the growth of the key international tourist market”. Participating in the conference has officials from the Culture and Information Office of districts, towns and cities and 50 tourism businesses in the province.

At the conference, the Provincial Department of Tourism announced the content of Decision No. 1934/QD-UBND dated July 12th 2021 of Khanh Hoa Provincial People's Committee approving the project on "Building and promoting the image of Nha Trang - Khanh tourism with promotion activities, attracting the growth of the key international tourist market”. According to the scheme, Khanh Hoa will build and develop tourism brands on the basis of synchronous development of tourism brands of three key regions: Nha Trang, Northern Cam Ranh peninsula and Van Phong tourist area in association with development of businesses brands and specific tourism products; striving by 2025, Khanh Hoa tourism brand will be clearly recognized in key markets and by 2030 become a familiar and competitive brand in the world with maximum promotion of core values and seas and islands tourism. Raise awareness and skills on tourism brand promotion for tourism state agencies, business community and the people; strongly attract social resources to participate in tourism promotion, strive to achieve professionalism by 2025 with innovations in methods, tools and contents by promoting using digital technology, promoting the power of communication and effectively exploiting the advertising space on social networks; improving the management capacity of Khanh Hoa tourism brand synchronously and professionally, ensuring a common, long-term and sustainable orientation, which is a key economic sector.
To accomplish the above objectives, Khanh Hoa will implement the following 5 solutions: Regularly disseminate and propaganda Nha Trang - Khanh Hoa tourism brand; guide skills and build a sense of participation in developing tourism images and brands in residential communities, businesses and especially in the apparatus of state management agencies in charge of tourism; regularly implement campaigns to raise visitors' awareness of Khanh Hoa tourism brand... Research and propose to develop policies, support terms and incentives suitable to real conditions economic, focusing on promoting the development of resort tourism, new types of tourism, typical and sustainable tourism products associated with local strengths; continue to improve the efficiency of administrative reform in attracting and supporting investment and developing new products; take advantage of attracting support from resources to implement investment projects to develop tourism infrastructure, especially the information technology infrastructure system for smart tourism. Strengthen cooperation with consulting units and major media partners (Facebook, Google, TikTok…) to develop communication programs and plans to promote the brand in the digital environment; regularly train and re-train employees in the tourism industry at different levels, levels and specialties, especially knowledge of tourism brands, brand management capacity, ability to use channels brand communication, digital technology application capacity. Enhance the transformation of methods of providing tourist information and destination images in the digital environment, building a tourism brand identity of Nha Trang - Khanh Hoa to meet the requirements of brand development as well as the ability to application in the online environment; build data sources of image information in different forms to introduce destinations, products and tourism resources of Nha Trang - Khanh Hoa, ensuring broadcasting requirements on domestic and international television channels as well as in other online media; edit, publish digital tourism publications for tourism promotion and provide information to tourists. Improve the efficiency of regional cooperation and linkage with neighboring localities in order to improve the competitiveness and attractiveness of the destination on the basis of maximizing local resources and the value of the destination's image of Nha Trang - Khanh Hoa...

In the period 2016 - 2019, Khanh Hoa tourism industry has a growth rate of arrivals of 12% - 19%/year. Particularly in 2019, the province welcomed 7 million visitors; tourism revenue reached more than 27,000 billion Dong. Khanh Hoa tourism has become one of the localities with the most developed tourism industry in the South Central Coast region in particular and the whole country in general. Although visitor numbers continue to grow, this growth has begun to slow, with visitor arrivals growth reaching 19.73% in 2017 to 12.62% in 2019.
