Collection of 5,631 bonsai, super mini miniatures created by Mr. Nguyen Van Phung (60 years old) in Phuoc Dong commune, Nha Trang city, Khanh Hoa province has just been recognized as "The largest collection of bonsai and miniatures in the world" by the World Record Union (Worldkings).
Passionate with trees since he was a child, Mr. Nguyen Van Phung has collected and made many unique bonsai works and miniatures. Currently, his collection has more than 5,600 works of all kinds. He said mini bonsai miniatures are a combination of traditional miniatures and modern models. Instead of simply ornamental plants combined with a few suggestive sub-decorations so that viewers can both watch and think, he combines with models of vehicles, people, objects, utensils ... to "turn "Bonsai into a work with a story. In his collection, the fir tree is the dominant tree. This is an imported tree and easy to propagate, easy to care, so digging of natural forests is limited. In addition, his collection also includes works made of fir trees, willow, apricot trees. His mini bonsai works are planted in simple, friendly objects with various shapes such as bottles, jars, shells, ceramic walls, jars... His works such as old love, young love; houses on trees, bonsai statues, natural landscapes, historic sites ... all contain many meanings and reflect reality. In which, there are many works showing the beautiful scenes and famous monuments in Khanh Hoa such as Bai Dai, Hon Chong, Thap Ba ... and current works such as "Friendship in Covid-19 season" . Currently, these works are placed in houses made of scrap tires for visitors to admire.

Mr. Phung said that at first, he registered with a number of 4,575 works, but when evaluating, the number was up to 5,631 works.
