On the morning of July 27th, at Long Son Pagoda, the Executive Board of the Khanh Hoa provincial Vietnam Buddhist Sangha held the 7th Congress of Khanh Hoa provincial Vietnam Buddhist Sangha, term 2022 - 2027. Mr. Nguyen Khac Toan - Standing Deputy Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee, Chairman of the Provincial People's Council; Dinh Van Thieu - Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee and a large number of monks, nuns and Buddhists attended.

The Congress elected the Executive Board of Khanh Hoa provincial Vietnam Buddhist Sangha for the term 2022 - 2027 with 63 members; elected the Proving Board with 6 members, the Standing Board with 23 members. Superior Buddhist Monk Thich Minh Thong assumes the position of Head of the Executive Board of the provincial Vietnam Buddhist Sangha.

Speaking at the congress, Mr. Dinh Van Thieu highly appreciated the results of activities of provincial Vietnam Buddhist Sangha in the past term, which have contributed to the construction and socio-economic development of the locality. Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee also suggested that in the coming time, the Executive Board of the Vietnam Buddhist Sangha of the province continue to guide monks, nuns and Buddhists in purely religious activities, complying with the law, and living a "good life - beautiful religion" in the direction of practicing the religion of "connecting with the dharma - nationalism - socialism", not allowing extremist elements to incite to cause division in the great unity bloc of the whole nation, not doing superstitious activities; actively respond to patriotic emulation movements launched by the locality and activities for socio-economic development, maintaining security and defense...

The congress also focused on evaluating Buddhist work for the 2017 - 2022 term in the province.
