From 27th to 29th July, at Nha Trang city, nearly 2,000 local and international delegates attended the National Scientific Conference on HIV/AIDS and the 8th Southeast Asian Conference on Tropical Medicine and Parasitology in 2018. Deputy Minister of Health Nguyen Thanh Long; Mr. Nguyen Dac Tai - Member of Standing Committee of Provincial Party Committee, Vice Chairman of Khanh Hoa provincial People's Committee attended.
The conference had 123 reports on forgotten tropical diseases and diseases spread from animals to humans; about hepatitis, HIV/AIDS; about infectious diseases; Diseases caused by insects and diseases transmitted by disease transmission (including mosquito control); vaccines and vaccinated diseases; antibiotics and antibiotic resistance; fungal diseases; new techniques in research by the Tropical Hospital ... This is the first year the conference was attended by delegates from Southeast Asian countries and there was an increase in the number of participants as well as the quality of reports presented at the conference.
Speaking at the meeting, Deputy Minister of Health Nguyen Thanh Long suggested that in the coming time, scientists should continue to focus on research on infectious diseases, infectious diseases from animals, unknown infectious disease to find solutions to prevent and control epidemics, limit infectious diseases; To focus on antibiotic research in order to minimize antibiotic resistance; Step by step improve basic research level of scientists...
