Khanh Hoa Provincial People's Committee has just issued a plan to implement the Prime Minister's Directive No. 33/CT-TTg dated August 20th 2020 on strengthening management, reuse, recycling, treatment and minimization of the plastic waste on Khanh Hoa province.

Accordingly, in order to effectively implement Directive No. 33/CT-TTg of the Prime Minister, the provincial People's Committee proposed departments, branches, People's Committees of districts, towns, cities, Party agencies, People's Councils, The People's Court, the People's Procuracy and the province's socio-political organizations are exemplary, active and in the forefront in reducing plastic waste; minimize the use of disposable plastic products; do not use disposable banners, slogans, bottles, cups, straws, bowls, plastic chopsticks ... in government offices, in conferences, seminars, meetings and other events, priority choose recyclable, environmentally friendly products; arrange garbage bins to classify wastes at agencies, units ...
The Provincial People's Committee assigned the Provincial Department of Natural Resources and Environment to assign, coordinate with relevant agencies to propagating and raising public awareness about the classification and reduction of plastic waste; guide localities to classify wastes at source, collect and separately treat classified wastes; strengthen inspection and examination of environmental protection, collection, transportation and treatment of solid waste; strictly controlling plastic recycling facilities that do not meet the requirements of environmental protection ... The provincial Department of Industry and Trade presides over propaganda and advocacy of trade centers, supermarkets, shops, people's markets, restaurants, production and business establishments classify waste at source; commitment to reducing plastic waste, limiting the use of disposable plastic items or replacing with environmentally friendly products; not providing plastic bags for free to customers or change from non-biodegradable plastic bags to other environmentally friendly bags ...
