On May 25th, Song Giang Solar Power Joint Stock Company held the Grand Opening Ceremony of Song Giang Solar Power Plant located in two communes of Cam Thinh Tay and Cam Thinh Dong, Cam Ranh City. Mr. Le Thanh Quang - Member of the Party Central Committee, Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee; Mr. Nguyen Tan Tuan - Standing Deputy Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee, Chairman of the Provincial People's Council; Mr. Le Duc Vinh - Deputy Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee, Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee; Mr. Tran Ngoc Thanh - Member of the Provincial Standing Committee of the Party, Chairman of the Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee of Khanh Hoa province attended.
The provincial leaders, investors and delegates performed the rite for the inauguration of the plant.
Started constructing in November 2018, after only 6 months of building, Song Giang Solar Power Plant has connected the grid for the first time on April 15th 2019 and officially operated commercial power generation on May 8th 2019. The plant is built on an area of about 60 hectares with a total capacity of 50MW and the capacity of each battery is 365Wp. Total investment capital of the plant is nearly VND 1,200 billion. This solar power project will supply the national electricity system with more than 80 million kWh/year after it is put into operation and electricity generation. This is also the first solar power plant completed and put into operation in Khanh Hoa province.

Speaking at the ceremony, Mr. Le Thanh Quang stated that putting Song Giang Solar Power Plant into operation has positively contributed to the economic development, meeting the increasing demand for electricity use of people, businesses, create new budget revenue for the province and create jobs for more than 500 local workers. Mr. Le Thanh Quang proposed, in the coming time, Song Giang Solar Power Joint Stock Company should work closely with relevant departments, branches and localities of the province to build and implement the management process, rational operation, ensuring the factory to operate absolutely safe, stable and in accordance with current regulations; At the same time, provincial departments, branches and localities are required to actively support and create favorable conditions for investors to implement approved solar power projects in the province.
