On the evening of August 20th, Khanh Hoa Provincial People's Committee held the Opening Ceremony of mobile exhibition of maps and exhibit documents on Spratly and Paracels Islands of Vietnam at Dien Khanh District People's Committee. Mr. Nguyen Dac Tai - Member of the Provincial Standing Committee of the Party, Standing Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee; Mr. Phan Thong - Vice Chairman of Provincial People's Council attended.
Delegates cut the ribbon to open the exhibition.
The exhibition display and introduce more than 110 maps, documents and pictures of Vietnam's sovereignty over the Spratly and Paracels Islands of Vietnam, including: Documents related to the process of establishing and enforcing Vietnam's maritime and islands sovereignty from the 17th to the 20th centuries; maps and atlas related to Vietnam's sovereignty over the Paracel and Spratly Islands; photos and documents on the Spratly and Paracel Islands in the French colonial period and the Republic of Vietnam. The exhibition also displays images and documents on: Relics of the heroes in Paracel islands and the militia ceremony on Ly Son island (Quang Ngai); life and living activities of the army and people in Spratly district (Khanh Hoa) today; the implementation and struggle to protect the sovereignty of Spratly and Paracels Islands; images and documents showing the special care and affection of the Party, the State, the army, socio-political organizations, the people and Vietnamese overseas with practical actions and join forces to protect homeland’s sovereignty on seas and islands...
Speaking at the ceremony, Mr. Nguyen Dac Tai emphasized that this exhibition continues to bring closer historical evidence of Vietnam's indisputable sovereignty over the two archipelagos of Spratly and Paracels Islands to Dien Khanh district people. Thereby, contribute to raising the awareness, solidarity and responsibility sense of the people and Vietnamese overseas, especially young people in the preservation and protection of the country’s sovereignty on seas and islands.

According to the program, the mobile exhibition of maps and documents displays "Spratly and Paracels Islands of Vietnam" in Dien Khanh district will end on August 23rd. Next, from August 27th to 29th, the exhibition will take place in Khanh Vinh district. It is known that in 2 years 2017 and 2018, this mobile exhibition was organized in 5 districts, towns and cities: Khanh Son, Cam Lam, Van Ninh, Ninh Hoa, Cam Ranh, attracting thousands turns of people to come and study.
