This is the topic of the online seminar coordinated by Khanh Hoa Provincial People's Committee and Consulate General of India at Ho Chi Minh City to be held in Nha Trang City on March 25th. Attending the seminar were Mr. Nguyen Tan Tuan - Deputy Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee, Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee; Le Huu Hoang - Member of the Provincial Standing Committee of the Party, Standing Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee; Pranay Verma -Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of India in Vietnam; Pham Sanh Chau - Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of Vietnam in India hold concurrently Nepal and Bhutan; Madan Mohan Sethi - Consul General of India in Ho Chi Minh City together with representatives of departments, branches, businesses of the province and India.

At the seminar, Mr. Nguyen Tan Tuan informed about the potentials, strengths, socio-economic situation of the province as well as the results of cooperation between Khanh Hoa and India in the fields of trade, education and training, information technology, culture ... Accordingly, in 2020, the province's export turnover to India reached 862,200 USD; Import turnover from India reached 9,123,400 USD. In the period 2015 - 2021, Khanh Hoa province received a non-refundable aid from the Government of India with a total value of 5.3 million USD to build the Center for Information Technology and Foreign Languages, University of Information and Communication. Mr. Nguyen Tan Tuan hopes that through this conference, Indian investors will see more clearly the potentials, strengths, the ability to cooperate with Khanh Hoa province as well as preferential policies and investment procedures, development situation of industrial zones, future investment orientation of the province; creating bridges, linking, looking for investment and business opportunities and expanding markets, contributing to strengthening the cooperation relationship between Vietnam - India in the coming time.

In the general session, the seminar spent a lot of time for departments, agencies, businesses of the province and India to introduce, exchange and discuss issues: Potential and opportunities for commercial cooperation, economic and investment of Khanh Hoa province; to attract investment in infrastructure in Ninh Thuy Industrial Park; India's strengths in infrastructure, seafood processing, water resource and waste management...
In the afternoon of the same day, the seminar continued to take place with a thematic session: Connecting businesses in the tourism sector. Representatives of departments, agencies, businesses of Khanh Hoa and India have presented, introduced, exchanged and discussed the potentials and strengths of the tourism industry in both sides; share experiences about flight routes; connecting travel businesses in Khanh Hoa and India.

* According to the Department of Planning and Investment, currently, Khanh Hoa province wishes to cooperate with Indian businesses to implement projects: Doc Da Trang Industrial Park; Northeast Ninh Hoa Urban Area; Ninh Tinh industrial park; Ninh Hai Industrial Park; South Cam Ranh Industrial Park. For the service and tourism sector, the province hopes to cooperate with travel businesses to promote delegations to Khanh Hoa in the coming time. Khanh Hoa province also wishes to cooperate with Indian investors in the fields of hi-tech industry development, information technology, and human resource development. When studying and cooperating in Khanh Hoa province, investors will enjoy investment incentives for: income tax for businesses, import tax, land rent, water surface and other preferences according to the provisions of specialized law. Investors will be supported with investment procedures in the province through Center for the Investment Promotion and Business Support. With the functions and tasks assigned, the Center will support to survey site, advice on procedures and documents for investors when they come to explore cooperation opportunities in the province.
