Casting village is just a population part of Tri Nguyen island where has many boats and timbers keeping shrimps and fishes as the village floating on the beach. Ship’s owners often introduce tourist coming here to have lunch,dinner with the delicious dishes are made from fresh shrimps, fishs, crabs and squids…that is the reason everyone is very impressive even coming one time. With the hotness of the summer in the afternoon or the need a private place in the village, you can rent a cannoe going to the village to enjoy the romantic nature view and falling in line with this local people.

With immerse wind and clean water make the viewers having peaceful and extricate feeling. In the far distance, there are fish and shrimp hatching boats. Mr. Han – a cannoe driver said that ship owners are very hospitable, you can go to a boat, fishing and cook a meal by yourself if you like. However, cast-nets are very dense so the best way you should fish in aquaculture cages.
There are some restaurants serve different way. For example, you can choose or fish which fishes, shrimps and crabs you want. If you like, you can row coracle to “swim” to the boat in the middle of the sea. These fish ships are kept by the local people to serve mainly tourists. I went to casting village inn today, Mr Tam owner took me to his fishing boat. It is very wide, more than 150m2, devided into different squares where keep many shrimp, crab, fish and squid types…. At the grouper fishing square, we saw many fishes have 4-5kg weight. We were more surprised at the squid square when seeing they have some kg weight swimming. And the thorn fish square, hand shellfish square,etc. Watching they swimming in the squares is an interesting thing for the journey. Mr. Tam gave Phuong- our friend a fishing rod to fish squid. It tied a small crab to make the quarry. It is very hard to fish a squid or fish. After the time “struggle” with fish herd, fisher also got “ war booty” –a heavy fish which was taken in the kitchen to cook.
In Mr. Tam’s inn, there is thw unique and delicous wine soaking to a special fruit in the water. Mr.Vo Van Quan- XQ’s director asked Mr. Tam pickling hundresa of this wine to use in XQ festivals.
Stiiting on the house on stilts looking the sea where the sun set, the beach started to change color, we sipped delicous seafood and enjoyed village atmosphere. There were some tourists walking in the coastal path or went deep in the households when waiting the meals. It is very interesting to explore a casting village picture with unsteady short roads, simply small houses and easygoing and hospitable people.
