In 2020, the Covid-19 epidemic had a comprehensive impact and influence on businesses and the people. In that context, the banking sector of Khanh Hoa province has implemented many flexible solutions to support businesses and people to restore production and business.
Specifically, as of November 30th 2020, branches of credit institutions in the province have adjusted debt terms and debt extension for 2,142 customers who have had difficulties due to the impact of Covid- 19 epidemic, outstanding loans are 7,808.1 billion Dong (of which, there are 311 enterprises); interest exemption and reduction for 139 customers with the outstanding balance of 529.07 billion Dong, the exempted, reduced interest amount is 3.3 billion dong; new loans for 10,033 customers with the amount of 36,114 billion Dong; reducing lending interest rates for 11,932 turns of customers who had old loans with the reduced interest amount of 85.03 billion Dong. Particularly, at the branch of provincial Social Policy Bank has restructured the repayment term for 935 individual customers with a loan balance of 16.4 billion VND.

Recent time, the branch of Provincial Social Policy Bank has synthesized, reviewed and contacted over 50% of businesses in the province; set up a guidance team to timely grasp and remove difficulties and problems in the lending process. However, many enterprises have not met the conditions of loans to pay salary for workers who stop working according to regulations. As of December 15th 2020, the branch of Provincial Social Policy Bank disbursed 2 files that the employer requested to borrow money to pay for workers who stop working; the disbursed amount was 254.7 million Dong for 124 employees (Phuong Thang Tourist Service Company Limited, Hon Tam Nha Trang Sea Joint Stock Company).
It is known that, according to the Vietnam State Bank - Branch of Khanh Hoa province, as of November 31st 2020, the whole province had 9,186 borrowers (1,021 enterprises, 8,165 individuals) affected by Covid - 19 epidemic, affected debt balance is 35,416 billion Dong.
