This is the direction of Prime Minister Pham Minh Chinh at an online conference with foreign investment enterprises with the theme "Overcoming challenges, grasp opportunities, cooperating for development", which took place in the morning of September 17th. The conference connects to local bridge points across the country and 80 bridge points of foreign enterprises at home and abroad. At the bridge point of Khanh Hoa province, Mr. Dinh Van Thieu - Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee attended.

Speaking at the conference, the Prime Minister affirmed that Vietnam is consistent in its view that the foreign-invested economic sector is an important component of the Vietnamese economy, to be encouraged, to create conditions for long-term development, cooperation and fair competition with other economic sectors; and at the same time respect and protect the legitimate rights and interests of investors, and ensure the harmony of interests between the government, investors and employees. The Prime Minister also suggested that in the coming time, ministries, branches and localities should actively approach and grasp the problems and difficulties of investors to propose improvement of policies and laws, creating a favorable environment for investors, shortening the time to carry out administrative procedures; support foreign investors to connect with new partners, expand markets to overcome supply chain disruptions. Focus on solving the shortage of local labor in a number of industries and regions; focus on training and fostering vocational skills for employees to meet the needs of enterprises. Prepare necessary conditions (clean premises, infrastructure, supply of skilled labor, incentive packages, investment support, etc.) to negotiate and attract foreign investors, especially investment in the fields of high technology, green energy, renewable energy. Strengthening the internal capacity of domestic enterprises in association with focusing on developing supporting industries in the direction of focusing on a number of specific industries and professions... Prime Minister Pham Minh Chinh also wishes that foreign businesses and investors need to grasp opportunities to effectively organize production and business, ensure compliance with the law, care for employees, ensure social security and protect the environment. Interested in supporting enhance capacity, technology transfer, advanced techniques, new knowledge for Vietnamese enterprises and creating conditions for Vietnamese enterprises to participate in the global value chain...
Also at the conference, foreign businesses and investors proposed to the Government the following issues: Simplifying visa procedures to create more favorable conditions for foreign experts and investors to come to study and invest in Vietnam. To further promote digital transformation in the economic field, especially transparency in tax information, planning and calling for investment; ensure network security, data safety. Build and upgrade modern infrastructure to attract investment enterprises. Having tax policies and other incentives for foreign investors; have policies to limit the situation of "brain drain", retain talented people; focus on training and improving the capacity and skills of the Vietnamese workforce. Review and adopt appropriate regulations on procedures for registration of drug circulation, drug supply, medical equipment import license, etc.
