On March 1st, in Nha Trang city, Khanh Hoa Provincial People's Committee in collaboration with Consulate General of India in Ho Chi Minh City held a conference on cooperation promotion between India and the South Central provinces. Attending the event were Mr. Madan Mohan Sethi - Consul General of India in Ho Chi Minh City; Le Huu Hoang - Member of Standing Committee of Provincial Party Committee, Standing Vice Chairman of Provincial People's Committee; Ms. Pham Thi Xuan Trang - Vice Chairwoman of the Provincial People's Council and leaders of Ninh Thuan, Phu Yen and Binh Dinh provinces.
At the conference, nearly 300 delegates from units, organizations and businesses of India and provinces from Ninh Thuan to Binh Dinh discussed and exchanged potentials for cooperation in the near future in the fields of: Commerce; investment; information technology; tourism; education; medicine. Also within the framework of the conference, units and businesses of the South Central provinces held about 20 booths introducing typical local products.
Speaking at the conference, Mr. Le Huu Hoang emphasized that over the past time, Khanh Hoa Provincial People's Committee coordinated with Indian agencies to organize many events connecting businesses of the two sides to learn and cooperate in various fields of agriculture, tourism, commerce, information technology... The Standing Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee also affirmed that Khanh Hoa will always accompany, encourage and create all favorable conditions for Indian businesses and Vietnam to cooperate, invest and do business in the province, thereby contributing to the socio-economic development of the South Central region in particular and strengthening the friendship and cooperation relationship between Vietnam and India in general…
Also at the conference, Mr. Madan Mohan Sethi affirmed that Vietnam in general and the South Central provinces in particular are important partners in India's development cooperation orientation. Currently, India has many policies to support investment and business along with high quality of labor, competitive labor costs, so it will be a favorable investment and business environment for businesses, organizations in Vietnam, especially small and medium enterprises. Mr. Madan Mohan Sethi also committed, the Indian Consulate in Ho Chi Minh City will continue to coordinate with relevant agencies and units to organize more events to enhance understanding and cooperation between India and the South Central provinces; promote local culture and tourism to Indians...
