In the first quarter of 2023, the index of industrial production (IIP) increased by 6%
According to the report of the Provincial People's Committee, in the first quarter of 2023, the IIP of Khanh Hoa province increased by 6% over the same period last year.
The processing and manufacturing industry increased by 5.88% over the same period last year.
In which, the processing and manufacturing industry increased by 5.88%; production and distribution of electricity, gas, hot water, steam and air-conditioning increased by 9.33%; water supply and wastewater treatment industry increased by 6.22%; mining industry decreased by 23.42%.
Some major industrial products had an increase in industrial production index over the same period last year, such as: Electricity production increased by 3.7%; Bird's nest water and other nutritious drinks increased by 22.5%… The main industrial products which have low increase or decreased IIP compared to the same period last year are frozen seafood (decreased by 25.16%). The reason for the decrease is due to economic fluctuations, inflation caused a decrease in consumer demand of the main import markets, leading to a decrease in seafood export orders compared to the previous year.

In which, the production and distribution of electricity, gas, hot water and steam increased by 11.67%; processing and manufacturing industry increased by 13.1%; the mining industry increased by 11.23%; water supply, management and treatment of waste and wastewater increased by 1.07%.
