On the morning of May 21st, Sheraton Nha Trang Hotel held a qualifying round of cooking competitions for students who study chef in order to respond to "Taste of Australia" event.
Candidates participate in food processing and presentation with Australian style.
Participating in the contest, there are 10 contestants representing 5 teams of Nha Trang Tourism College, Asia Europe Vocational Center, Dien Khanh Vocational High School, Nha Trang College of Engineering and Technology. Candidates pass 2 sections include: Preliminary skills to ensure food safety and hygiene; Food Processing, presenting Australian-style dishes with the main material is lamb thigh. The result, the team of contestants Nguyen Hoang Vuong (Asia Europe Vocational Center) and Huynh Vuong Thang (Nha Trang Tourism College) won and became representatives of the South Central region to participate in the final round in Ho Chi Minh at the end of June 2019.
Also on May 21st, the qualifying round of the competition took place in three other localities: Hanoi, Da Nang and Ho Chi Minh City. This is one of the contents of the Taste of Australia program that takes place nationwide.
