On June 14th, at Nha Trang city, University of Information and Communication organized the Ground Breaking Ceremony of the Center for Information Technology and Foreign Languages, Phase 2. Attending the ceremony were Colonel General Nguyen Chi Vinh - member of the Central Committee of the Communist Party of Vietnam, permanent member of the Central Military Commission, Deputy Defense Minister; Mr. Le Thanh Quang - Member of Central Party Committee, Secretary of Khanh Hoa Party Committee; Mr. Le Duc Vinh - Deputy Secretary of the provincial Party Committee, Chairman of the provincial People's Committee; Mrs. Nirmala Sitharaman - Defense Minister of the Republic of India.

The Center for Information Technology and Foreign Languages is a friendly cooperation project between Vietnam and India. In phase 2, the center is built with an area of 30,000 m2 in accordance with planning, ensuring the synchronism, friendly with the environment. The total investment capital of The Center for Information Technology and Foreign Languages is VND 400 billion, including VND 120 billion of non-refundable aid from the Government of India. It is expected that the Center will be completed by the end of 2019. After complete, the Center will be able to meet the training needs of 2,000 people per year and 1,000 people to carry out research and development, supply service and business production.
It is known that the Center for Information Technology and Foreign Languages completed the first phase and went into operation from April 2015. Over the past three years, the Center has successfully organized many training courses to improve the capacity of information technology and foreign languages for officers and employees of the whole army. In addition, the center also organizes training and retraining of human resources for units, enterprises, universities and colleges in Khanh Hoa province. On that basis, the Ministry of Defense of the two countries Vietnam - India continue to cooperate to invest in phase 2 to build the Center for Information Technology and Foreign Languages to become a place to train and improve quality human resources as well as the transfer of information technology achievements, electronic communications for the military of Vietnam.
