On December 26th, at the Cam Ranh International Airport, the National Civil Aviation Security Committee coordinated with the Ministry of Public Security, the Ministry of Defense, the Ministry of Transport and Khanh Hoa provincial People's Committee to conduct national aeronautic emergency drills. Attending the rehearsal are Mr. Truong Hoa Binh - Member of Politburo, Permanent Deputy Prime Minister; Nguyen Van The - Member of the Party Central Committee, Minister of Transport; Lieutenant General Pham Ngoc Minh - Deputy Chief of the General Staff of the Vietnam People's Army; Le Thanh Quang - Member of the Party Central Committee, Secretary of the Khanh Hoa Provincial Party Committee; Le Duc Vinh - Deputy Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee, Chairman of Khanh Hoa provincial People's Committee and nearly 1,000 people from the police, army and related units.
Forces do rehearsal the situation of arresting terrorists, release hostages.
Speaking at the rehearsal, Standing Deputy Prime Minister Truong Hoa Binh emphasized that the security situation in the world and in the region is complicated and the risk of terrorism in Vietnam is constantly increasing. Therefore, this exercise is a total practice, enhance the ability to stand up, and ready to respond to complex situations, threatening to ensure the security and safety of civil aviation.

The rehearsal takes place with two main contents: rehearsal of the command post; training exercises. The forces give reputed situation: A civilian aircraft flying in Vietnam's airspace is attacked by a group of 8 armed men, threatening, arresting several passengers as hostages, hijacking aircraft and flee abroad. Plans for rehearsals are: negotiation, negotiation but not successful; attacking, arresting terrorists, releasing hostages; landmine clearance, rescue, fire fighting in the attack, kills, terrorist arrest, and release hostages.
